01

— Product Overview

What is

AUPE?

Invisible induction cooking is a system where induction technology is installed beneath a porcelain or sintered stone countertop, allowing you to cook directly on a seamless surface — no visible burners, no visible controls, no compromise on design.
The system uses electromagnetic induction to transfer energy directly into compatible cookware placed on the surface. Heat is generated inside the cookware itself — not in the countertop — so the surface remains structurally stable throughout cooking.
AUPE is a fully integrated system installed beneath the countertop during kitchen construction or renovation. It is engineered to replace traditional visible cooktops entirely, delivering a completely seamless worksurface.

02

— Performance & Function

How does it

perform?

The countertop is not directly heated. Any surface warmth you notice comes from contact with heated cookware. The system itself does not generate heat in the stone and the surface remains structurally stable throughout cooking.
The system supports configurations from 1 to 5 cooking hubs depending on kitchen layout and design requirements. Each hub can be positioned to suit your worksurface, not the other way around.
Induction energy transfers directly into cookware, providing rapid and highly efficient heating. The speed depends on pot material and configuration — induction-compatible cookware with a good magnetic base heats very quickly.
Yes. Multiple cooking hubs can operate at the same time depending on system configuration and power distribution. Your certified partner will advise on the optimal setup for your kitchen electrical capacity.
This is normal behaviour. The system shares available electrical power across active hubs. When a second zone is switched on, the total load is redistributed — so each zone may operate at a slightly lower output than it would alone. A dedicated high-capacity supply, specified during installation, minimises the effect.

03

— Materials & Care

What works

with AUPE?

The system is designed for installation beneath engineered stone surfaces — porcelain and sintered stone. These materials provide the correct electromagnetic permeability and surface stability required for safe, consistent performance.
No. The system requires non-porous engineered surfaces such as porcelain or sintered stone for correct performance and safety. Natural stone, wood, laminate, or quartz composites are not suitable for this installation.
Only induction-compatible cookware with magnetic bases can be used. Look for the induction symbol on your pots and pans, or test with a magnet — if it sticks to the base, it will work.
Yes — provided the cookware is induction-compatible. Cast iron is generally well-suited. Stainless steel varies by grade; the cookware must have sufficient magnetic properties to activate the system.
No special preparation is required. However, cookware bases should be clean and flat — rough or heavily encrusted bases can scratch engineered stone over time. Avoid dragging pots across the surface.
The worksurface is cleaned exactly as you would any quality engineered stone — warm water, a soft cloth, and a pH-neutral cleaner. Because there are no burners, grilles, or joints to trap food, the surface is substantially easier to keep clean than a conventional hob.
Spillovers and grease marks can occur as with any cooking surface. Because the stone itself is not heated, burnt-on residue is less likely than on a conventional ceramic hob — but any spill is best wiped promptly. Your stone supplier recommended care guidelines apply alongside standard AUPE maintenance advice.

04

— Safety & Control

Is AUPE

safe?

Yes. The system only activates when compatible cookware is detected on the surface. It includes safety mechanisms including automatic shut-off and child lock features. The countertop itself does not function as a heating element.
Yes. The countertop remains structurally stable and is not a heating element. The surface directly around a hot pan may become warm through contact, in the same way any countertop surface would — this is not unique to the system.
The system is operated via a dedicated wireless control interface, keeping the countertop entirely free of visible buttons, knobs, or touch zones. The worksurface remains completely uninterrupted.

05

— Installation & Technical

Specifying

AUPE.

Installation must be carried out by qualified kitchen installers or certified AUPE trade partners. This ensures correct positioning, electrical connection, and surface compatibility validation before handover.
Installation depends on the countertop material and the structural configuration. AUPE is primarily engineered for new kitchen integrations where the countertop surface and electrical provision can be specified from the outset.
Yes. Technical documentation, CAD files, and installation guidelines are available through authorized AUPE partners. Architects and designers specifying the system will have access to the full technical package through their partner contact.
Yes. The system requires a dedicated electrical supply sized to the configuration — a single hub draws significantly more current than a standard kitchen circuit. For multi-hub installations, this should be planned at the earliest stage of kitchen design.
